Born in Ft. Myers Florida and based in Seattle (b. 1987), Jonathan Reibsome grounds his practice in connection. Employing a distinct fusion of editorial sensibility through his portraiture, he explores moments that are intimate and unguarded.

Reibsome is deeply curious about the emotional influence of photography and its power to generate visibility beyond the everyday for both the subject and the viewer. In his work, he manipulates light and perspective into dreamy escapes from the mundane. Eluding expectation, Reibsome’s photos are striking, soft, and still moments between movement. While, for him, the pleasure is in the process, the work is ultimately an invitation to suspend our self-beliefs and explore what it is to be seen.
